Greater & Greener has more than 80 sessions offering a firsthand look at the power of city parks as critical infrastructure for their communities.

From Europe’s Green City movement to managing parks across international borders to an update on the U.N.’s Habitat III Urban Agenda, this unique opportunity to explore common issues and solutions to bring people and nature back together caps the conference.

City Parks Alliance and World Urban Parks present a series of interactive presentations and discussions about approaches that cities around the world are taking to create healthy, sustainable, and resilient park systems. The International Forum is sponsored by TORO.


Special Sessions:

Parks and Water: Partners in the One Water Movement offers an in-depth look at how park professionals in the United States and Denmark are retrofitting existing parks to handle the demands placed on 21st century cities.

Lykke Leonardsen, Program Director, Resilient and Sustainable City Solutions, City of Copenhagen will be the keynote speaker, followed by a panel moderated by Radhika Fox, CEO, US Water Alliance.


Creating Equitable Cities, explores the role of high quality parks and public spaces in creating equitable outcomes for all citizens.

Speakers Sabina Ali, Chair, Thorncliffe Park Women's Committee, Michael DiBerardinis, Managing Director, City of Philadelphia and Glenn Harris, President, Center for Social Inclusion will discuss strategies to create more inclusive, just and democratic cities, with equitable access to public parks and greenspace.

Enjoy outdoor water parks including Webber Park Natural Swimming Pool in Minneapolis, the first public natural swimming pool to open in North America that uses no chemicals to keep the water clean and safe.

Or join the circus! Circus Juventus is an internationally renowned circus school and youth development program that has been supported by Saint Paul Parks and Recreation since its world-class facility was built on park property in 2001.
